The 2026 World Match Racing Tour – Macau Match Cup will be held in Macau from 25 to 29 March 2026, jointly organised by the Sports Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government and Beidou Xing Yacht Racing Management. The “World Match Racing Tour – Macau Match Cup” is a World Championship-level special event recognised by World Sailing and serves as the opening event of the 2026 World Match Racing Tour (WMRT) season.

Founded in 2000, the World Match Racing Tour is one of the most prestigious sailing series in the world, with the overall champion awarded the title of World Champion — the highest honour in match racing. The event will bring together the world’s top match racing sailors to compete in high-level, head-to-head competition on Macau’s waters, showcasing the synergy of major international sporting events. It will further enhance Macau’s status as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure, promote the integration of sports and tourism, support the development of a “City of Sports,” and contribute to appropriate economic diversification.
